The Hydor Performer Calcium Reactor has been around for quite a while, attracting little attention during that time, but a nice new design overhaul ought to change all that. The new Performer Calcium Reactor uses higher strength and clarity acrylic, and a bevy of new features that help the Performer perform. Slip-on clear tubing has been replaced with opaque semi-rigid white tubing that locks into Johnny Guest-style fittings, a new and improved bubble counter and drop counter are easier to see and adjust at a glance. Finally, an integrated pump cooling mechanism which flushes noise-producing air bubbles from the pump and allows the Hydor Performer Calcium Reactor to be placed in or out of a sump. Hydor’s new and improved Performer Calcium Reactor will come in two sizes, a small one for $300 and the larger one pictured here and after the break for around $400.
