The new Fluval Spec is s long and slim nano aquarium we first heard about back at Interzoo 201o and is finally hitting the worldwide market. The aquarium has a pretty slender footprint with the mechanical and filtration components are integrated and oriented on one end to make a perfect front-and-back view aquarium that is screaming to be on a table or shelf to be viewed from both sides.
Fluval has come up with a sleek aquarium with some pretty nice features for a small all-in-one that holds just five gallons. The Spec comes with an overhang LED light fixture with 37 LEDs. We aren’t sure if there are saltwater or freshwater options on the light but can imagine this comes equipped with daylight white LEDs in the 6500K range. The water movement and filtration is done with a circulation bump and three-stage filtration system that can handle most basic applications.
The Fluval Spec V (US version) and Fluval Spec 19L (UK version) black aquarium is available now, with a 10 liter (about 2.6 gallon) version due to launch in October 2012 along with an alternative white color option. The Fluval Spec V is retailing around $99.99 USD.
