The Quietflow submersible utility pump adds a much-needed pumping solution to the decent range of Aqueon glass tanks, desktop aquarium, Proflex sumps, power filters and propeller pumps. The Aqueon Quietflow submersible utility pumps will be available in ten sizes with flow rates from 106 gallons per hour all the way up to 2113 gph. The three largest models including the AQ4500, AQ6000 and AQ8000 are the big boys of the QuietFlow series designed to be heavy duty sump return pumps with an interesting funnel shaped adapter that prevents the pump from drawing air from the surface when the water level gets too low.
Those three models of the QuietFlow pumps seem to have some degree of kinship with the MaxiJet series of sumbmersible Utility pumps, with a different color scheme and slightly different body. The remaining smaller Quietflow pumps up to the AQ3000 bear resemblance to the Eden line of water pumps – hopefully the superficial similarities will permeate deep into the pump body to carry along the performance of trusted Eden and MaxiJet lines. Pricing for the Aqueon QuietFlow pumps has not yet been nailed down but it probably won’t be announced until you see these on the store shelves of Central Pet customers all over the country very soon.
