Much like Vertex Aquaristik‘s other magnet accessories the Vertex Hexaplex magnet cleaner brings some serious class to something that you might not have previously thought of as visually appealing. In essence the Vertex Hexaplex is the big brother of the cleaner magnet triplex, duplex and simplex.
This magnet cleaner is designed for much larger tanks, considering the lack of specs we’re not entirely how thick of glass, but considering the strength of the aforementioned magnets we’d imagine all but the largest tanks. For obvious reasons Vertex decided to go with six small magnets in the Hexaplex rather than a single large one as it would be prohibitively expensive.
The six magnets in the Vertex Hexaplex are all connected to equalize the poles, rather than having to deal with lining up six different magnets which would be an obvious nightmare in production. The result is unusual but actually quite cool looking and it definitely gives the Vertex magnet scrubber a space age feel.
The Vertex Magnet Cleaner Hexaplex will retail for around ¥10,000, which is around $105 USD. This might seem expensive but if it competes with the larger magnets currently on the market, the pricing is right on par. No word yet when exactly these will available stateside although LSS states they should be receiving them in about two months (internet translation sites seems to suggest 60 months, but it pretty save to assume 60 days).
