Last month Fluval launched its new website, www.FluvalAquatics.com as the main destination for the aquatic brand. On the surface, it just looks like a refresh of a corporate information portal, however beneath the surface the launch is a smart move as Fluval looks to establish a stronger brand in the aquatics market.
In development for nearly a year, the new home for Fluval products, the website now contains product information along with the Fluval TV section featuring videos from the company. Included in this is the documentary of the Colombia expedition that reveals footage of the new Pike Cichlid discovered by its team.
Over the years Fluval has launched some significant trends in the market, especially around filtration including the debut of the canister filter in 1982. Despite being known for making quality, affordable and easy-to-use products, Fluval often gets pigeonholed as a company best for its freshwater product or products geared towards the novice or intermediate hobbyists — not hardcore reefers.
As we’ve seen with the company’s foray into saltwater and reefing with its, Fluval Sea line, the products Fluval is bringing to market are intriguing to both the fresh and saltwater side of the hobby with products for all levels. Coupled with the announcement of Francis Yupangco being named as Aquatic Development Manager for Hagen, this news is showing how the company is looking to make a more significant push with innovative products for all levels in the next few years.

FluvalAquatics.com Projected to Become a Major Online Aquatic Destination
MONTREAL, CANADA (September 27, 2013) – Fluval is proud to announce today the launch of its all-new, highly anticipated website, www.FluvalAquatics.com, which is projected to become a top online destination for aquatic hobbyists around the world.
Since development of the site first began back in October 2012, www.FluvalAquatics.com has accrued over 20,000 man hours from a team of nearly twenty dedicated individuals, and represents a financial contribution on the part of the company well into the six-figure range. Fluval firmly believes this massive investment in time and money was necessary to catapult the brand into the pole position among all aquatic manufacturers’ websites.
Apart from showcasing Fluval’s extensive freshwater, marine and lifestyle products in detail, www.FluvalAquatics.com will also house the brand’s ever-expanding video library in a special Fluval TV section. This includes helpful features and tips from some of the brand’s most iconic innovations.
Fluval recently led its first expedition to Colombia in 2013, and has dedicated another specific area of the website to share all of the photos, videos and interactive journal from this adventure. This includes never-before-seen photos and footage of the new Pike Cichlid that was discovered during a stopover at the Cano Mayoragua river by the Fluval team. The full-length Colombia documentary can also be viewed on the Fluval YouTube channel by clicking here: http://y2u.be/NpabwL_Ko5E

The newsletter also promises to include story contributions from various underwater explorers, product developers, fish breeders and other aquatic authorities.
“Putting together a website of this magnitude in less than one year was a real challenge,” states James Braditsch, Senior Marketing Manager for the Fluval brand. He continues, “It was certainly worth all the time and effort, however, as we can bring our product innovations, design and customer service to our fans in a new and exciting way.”
Fluval is currently in the future planning stages of the website, and promises to bring even more value and meaningful content to visitors as time goes on. All are encouraged to sign-up now at www.FluvalAquatics.com to stay informed of developments as they happen.
