A short while ago we had the chance to hang out with Matt Pedersen, at his house, to pick his brain over a few days, enjoy his decent sized fish room and to talk about all things captive bred, and especially clownfish. We decided to sit down with Matt behind the camera and to have a focused yet relaxed conversation about all things clownfish.
The result is Episode Two of what we are calling ‘The Show”, a series about us sitting down with real, down-home reefers who are staying wet with their tanks, and active within the broader hobby of reef keeping. The first episode of The Show was a trial run with Mark and I, and the beers and lackadaisical discussion quickly turned into an hour long geek fest that probably lost many viewers.
This time around, we’ve reigned our discussion in, applied some real actual video editing and secured a sponsor for the first “season” of The Show thanks to Neptune Systems. Matt and I go over all things clownfishes, especially as it pertains to captive breeding, designer strains, and guppyfication of our precious orange and white reef fishes.
Whether you’re casually into clownfish, a breeder yourself, or a retailer slinging Onyxes and Picassos, we think you’ll really enjoy Episode Two of The Show. Please give us some feedback about what other topics you’d like to see us cover in the comments, and look out for new episodes of Reef Builders, The Show to come out on a monthly basis.
