The Aurora LED puck from Rapid LED is a DIY kit which closely models the arrangement of the Radion LED cluster. Going so far as to use the actual Radion cluster lens, the Aurora LED Puck offers four channels of color control and allows someone to build what is essentially a Radion “Nano”, but without any of the fit, finish or features of the award winning LED light.
Each Aurora LED kit comes with a cluster of multicolor LEDs that includes 4 cool white LEDs on one channel, 4 royal blue and 3 blues on another channel, green, blue, red and red-orange on another channel and a small spread of UV LEDs on its own channel as well. All of the other components including a heatsink with splash guard, drivers, jumpers and fan are all part of the Aurora LED puck DIY kit.
Rapid LED provides the Aurora LED kit in a dimmable version for $250, a non dimmable version for $200, and you can double up the clusters for just $100 more. We’re not sure how Ecotech Marine feels about the Aurora puck treading dangerously close to the specifications of the LED arrangement found in the Radion, even the use of the actual cluster lens made for the Radion, but you know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
