Biotek is a new aquarium product line from Aquarium Specialty that will be breaking out with a beefy acrylic mounting solution for Ecotech Marine and AquaIllumination LED lights. The Biotek LED Light Stand is made of heavy duty black acrylic, solid in parts and laminated to thickness in other places to accommodate the mounting and access to the aquarium hobby’s most popular slabs of LED lighting.
The thick black acrylic that makes up the Biotek LED Light Stand can clamp onto aquarium glass up to one inch thick, more easily on rimless aquariums. The LED light stand is not adjustable as it is designed to look sleek and hold up the LED light approximately 12 to 14 inches from the surface of the aquarium water.
There are separate models of the Biotek LED light stand to give access to the Radion’s topside buttons or to allow for airflow through the AI Sol, Hydra and Vega LED lights. The Biotek LED Light Stands will be available from Aquarium Specialty and its wholesale division and should retail for right around $199 a piece.
