Colin Foord from Coral Morphologic is battling time, strong currents and eels in the effort to save corals in Miami’s harbor from being blasted to smithereens by the Army Corp of Engineering during the $220 million Deep Dredge project to build a deeper harbor in the south Florida city. Foord has been fighting to bring awareness around this issue of Miami’s beautiful underwater resource for years and when they originally thought they had six weeks to complete the project of relocating as many corals as they could, it seemed daunting enough.
