Last weekend at InterZoo we were introduced to the Absolute Line of aquarium stands from Elos and we simply love the attention to detail that has been given to the aquarium stand, literally the foundation of any great aquarium. Only Elos could make a stand so beautiful, so sophisticated, that it was one of the highlight product announcements of the biggest pet trade show in the world.
The Absolute Line of stands from Elos are made from five pieces of welded steel, each powder-coated to perfection and screwed together to form one solid aquarium stand. The panels of the Elos Absolute Line aquarium stands can be chosen from a rainbow of colors which are painted to a glossy finish, and which magnetically attached to the frame for the easiest access to all areas underneath the aquarium.
The Elos Absolute Line stands are equipped with adjustable feet but the real kicker is the panels of the aquarium stand which are fitted with foam insulation to reduce noise coming from the filter system. So if you’ve got quiet equipment to begin with, and you use the Absolute Line stands with its insulated panels, viewers could be forgiven for forgetting that there’s a fully loaded aquarium filter hiding underneath the display.
There’s a diversity of aquarium companies making beautifully crafted and exacting boxes of glass for high-end aquarium displays but if you’re not using an equally stunning stand to support it, the display will turn out only half as awesome. At somewhere around 1200€ / $1500 for a four foot stand, the Elos Absolute Line aquarium stand is clearly not targeted at the DIY crowd, nor the diehard coral frag collectors. But if you want the entire aquarium display to look and feel like a masterpiece of presentation, nothing less than something like an Elos Absolute Line aquarium stand can do it.
