Coral Morphologic has done a great job using art to advance the awareness of marine ecology and we were glad to hear they have recently one recognition for its art installation in PortMiami. Teaming with artist Bhakti Baxter 18 parking booths were wrapped at PortMiami with colorful vinyl portraits of Miami’s ocean gems — Zoanthids. Dubbed ‘Coral Reef City’ the installation was commissioned by Miami-Dade Art in Public Places and will remain at the port through 2024, where 4 million annual visitors will get a glimpse of these colorful booths. This week the installation was recognized among the best public art projects in the nation by Americans for the Arts as part of their Public Art 2014 Year in Review. Great job team Coral Morphologic.
