The Aquatic Design Centre is an aquarium store in London that any kind of aquarium enthusiasts would be thrilled to visit. The space that ADC takes up is modest but every square inch of the shop is densely packed with every kind of aquatics that you can possibly imagine.
We’ve been to hundreds of aquariums stores around the world and everywhere we go, LFS usually specialize in niches that they can really excel at. Meanwhile at Aquatic Design Centre they specialize at everything and they do it well.
Nowhere have we seen a shop that has equally impressive representation of goldfish and frags, dwarf cichlids and live pants, ornamental crystal shrimp and super duper rare fish. On a regular day while visiting ADC before heading to Germany for InterZoo we toured the shop and were pleasantly surprised to see a couple zebra tangs, a couple tigerpyge angelfish, a gem tang and all manner of other rare marine fish that you don’t expect to see swimming at an LFS.
The coolest part of having an LFS like ADC which is so diversified is that the various staff that works there all have their specialties and they help cross-polinate each others’ knowledge and experience in the various fields of aquarium science. The intimate space at Aquatic Design Centre has that mom n’ pop feel but it is stocked to the rafters with the widest array of aquarium gear, there’s very little that you won’t be able to find inside.
If you find yourself in London and want to check out just one aquarium store, we highly recommend the Aquatic Design Centre because no matter you’re into, at ADC you’ll see the biggest density of diverse aquarium life than just about any LFS in the world. [Aquatic Design Centre]
