The MP810 is a new dosing pump from Milwaukee Instruments that is endowed with the company’s signature lime green color. Milwaukee’s MP810 dosing pump is a very pragmatic offering with a balance of features and performance at a price that reflects that value.
The basic green dosing pump is driven by a brushed DC motor rated for up to 7 watts; the only really missing feature is the ability to adjust the flowrate of the pump, so a timer will be required to get finer control of the output. The MP810 dosing pump has a maximum flowrate of 1.5 liters per hour with a maximum pumping height of 2.5 bar, or more than 80 feet of head pressure.
One thing that we do particularly like about Milwaukee’s dosing pump is the clear window giving an unobstructed view of the pump head and peristaltic mechanism, and the inclusion of fixed input/output fittings which helps to keep lines from clogging. We came across Milwaukee’s new dosing pump at PetsFestival in Italy so we were told that this pump is currently shipping in Europe with a price between 60€ and 80€ depending on the european country of sale, so in America we might be able to expect a retail price in the $75 to $99 range.
The new lime green MP810 dosing pump should pair up well with their forthcoming sophisticated pH controllers like the pH box for raising or lowering pH in the aquarium depending on your application.
