When it comes to one-man coral farming and coral collecting operations, few have had the staying power of Jason Fox and his incredible selection of diverse and exotic corals. The success of Jason Fox is not by chance, or great business acumen, but simply driven by sheer passion for the craziest corals on the planet.
Sure every region of the country has its share of coral gurus but few have done the due diligence like Jason of actually going to the reefs where corals come from and picking out the most iconic corals right at the source. Heck when we visited one of the largest coral exporters in the world in Jakarta they were dropping Jason Fox’s name as if we were at a U.S. reef club meeting.
We can tell you first hand that going to remote coral reefs or cherry picking corals from huge exporters sounds amazing and romantic but it’s also really challenging and requires a lot more work and discomfort than one could ever describe. But that kind of hard work pays off if you really want the best of the best corals for yourself, and to share with others.
Sure Jason might have plenty of coral “strains” that are duplicated elsewhere but within his Signature Corals there are some corals that we’ve yet to see anywhere else. Without further ado, here are our top ten favorite corals from Jason Fox.
