The Eshopps Cube Nano Refugium is a dramatic new design concept from Eshopps which uses a novel approach to packing in a ton of functionality, into a very small volume. The diminutive little Cube Nano Refugium is a sump intended for tanks between 10 and 35 gallons with the modest dimensions of just 14 x 14 x 16 inches tall.
What makes Eshopps’ Cube Nano Refugium is a diversion of water to separate compartments for a dedicated refugium and a dedicated protein skimmer section so that each important type of filtration can do its work unimpeded. The unique approach to splitting the water stream between two chambers is called Eshopps Channel Design or ECD for short and it results in a skimmer section with a 7.5 x 9 inch footprint, perfect for fitting one of Eshopps’ smaller in-tank protein skimmer models.
