Today is Earth Day and it is a reminder that what we do for the environment, both positive and negative, has an impact. While we advocate being Earth smart the other 364 days of the year, Earth Day is a great way to start off the dialogue on being more environmentally conscious with your community and beyond.
Make sure to visit the official Earth Day website for inspiration and do a search for local events in your community. From beach and watershed cleanup, to organizing some friends and neighbors to pick up litter in your neighborhood or local park, there is plenty you can do.
And remember, don’t just stop there. Join a group or organize activities in your area on a regular basis. It has a positive impact on the environment and helps make the world around us a little brighter.
