MaxSpect is not known for resting on their laurels, and with the Gyre Fx150 and Fx130 on the market just about 6 months, they are already working on tweaks and improvements to make the pumps better and more reliable. The most notable of these changes is a new rotor design in the works for the Gyre Fx130 with.
The new rotor for the Gyre Fx130 has only four blades compared to the previous 8, and they are much more sturdy and solid than the previous incarnation. The new rotor design for the Fx130 has nearly identical sound and flow properties but MaxSpect is still working on which rotor design can deliver the same kind of performance for the larger Gyre Fx150.
Future shipments of the Gyre Fx130 will have 4-blade rotor design standard, and it will also be available as a replacement for previous small Gyre pumps, with which the new rotor is fully compatible. Furthermore, MaxSpect has also been working on a basic foam guard for both pumps, which will be available in two different foam-pore densities, and should be available as a basic add-on accessory for relatively cheap in about a month or so.
