There are reef tanks, there are Tank of the Months, and then there are masterpieces in progress. The large reef display at S.E.A. Aquarium in Sentosa Singapore falls squarely in the latter category, and it firmly leads the pack, especially in the public aquarium space.
We remember seeing this tank two years ago, and lamenting how little there was to see in this particular tank. But over the last 24 months the staff at S.E.A. Aquarium have really been doing everything right, nurturing some of the most beautiful captive reef aquarium fish we’ve ever seen, especially Anthias, and creating a reef display that already looks jaw-dropping right now.
This 2000 gallon-ish reef display has the most impressive aquascape of primarily stony corals that looks great already, and is primed to look even better in the near future when the corals grow in. While some public aquariums struggle to have really great looking tanks of live corals, especially right when they open up, S.E.A. Aquarium is already killing it when it comes to the art and science of the live coral reef aquarium.
