Fluval is elevating its game with one of the largest launches of LED lights we have seen in a while unveiling eight new lights in the US with plans to roll them out globally this fall.
The mainstay of the Fluval LED brand are updates to the existing Fresh & Plant and Marine & Reef flagship models with the next generation of the full spectrum lights. The Fresh & Plant 2.0 and Marine & Reef 2.0 are better equipped to grow vibrant plants and corals. For the Marine & Reef 2.0, it is designed with six unique LEDs, waterproof IPX7 engineering, an ultra-slim 1 in. profile, and 120 degree optics, the fixture can be positioned directly above the water surface for better light penetration and spread.
One of the more compelling updates is the Aquasky, a fully-adjustable RGB and White LED fixture that allows you to dial in pretty much and endless combination of color blends to your fresh or salt water aquarium. On top of this, with its SKYpad infrared remote there are advanced features including all the fun sky effects we’ve grown to love such as cloud cover, lunar cycles, lightning and more. These are also waterproof rated at IPX7 and come in three sizes.
If you need something simpler, the Eco Bright is an energy-efficient and dimmable with a remote control to customize blue and white LED intensity and create a natural shimmering effect.
In the desktop LED sub-category, Aura and Halo feature color-temperatures specifically engineered for plant & coral growth, respectively, while Nano offers mid-range color temperature that will enrich plant, fish and coral colors.
The final piece of the puzzle is the Prism submersible accent LED that projects a powerful 3W beam up to 6 ft., while creating up to 80 color variations and special effects (i.e. sunset, lightning) via remote control.
