The Aqamai KPS is great new small controllable water pump and we can’t wait to use it in our smaller tanks. Hydor has gone and made the most adorably small and controllable propeller pump and they’ve done it right.
Not only is the Aqamai KPS really small, it is wirelessly controllable with any mobile phone, allowing users to quickly and easily dial in flow rates and to program different flow patterns on the fly. The Aqamai KPS is built in the same design as the 3rd gen Korallia with a tiny volume, even smaller dual magnetic mount, and great specs to boot.
The Aqamai is less then two inches in diameter (48mm) and just two and a half inches long (63mm) yet it packs enough punch to flow up a pretty decent volume. The Aqamai is adjustable up to 1,050 gallons per hour while using only 10 watts and it can mount on to tank thicknesses up to 15mm thick.
The cute Aqamai KPS pump is so adorable for a wirelessly controllable DC propeller pump we are absolutely smitten with it and we can’t wait to test it out later this year when it should be available for somewhere in the neighborhood of $100.
