Its hard to believe its has been 7 months since Project Coral completed its groundbreaking in-vitro fetilization of captive coral at UK’s Horniman Museum and Gardens. We have seen a snapshot of the growth they are getting on some of Acropora tenuis and Acropora millepora we are definitely impressed.
From pale lavender to deep purple the A. tenuis babies are growing into nice looking specimens as you can see from the pictures below.
The A. millepora has starting to develop the pink pigmentation from their parents but haven’t started vertical growth of yet. The main image in this article shows the growth of both corals at around 6 months.
We are keenly following along on the progress and look forward to see these in another 6 months.
