MACNA 2017 will be in New Orleans, Louisiana, August 25th to the 26th, hosted by Bayou Reefkeeping. We’ve seen our big annual reefing conference held in a myriad of places around the country, but this is the first time that we’ll be seeing MACNA hosted right on the Gulf of Mexico.
Bayou Reefkeeping will be organizing MACNA 2017 at the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center and Hilton Riverside Hotel. This exciting hotel and venue is right on the Mississippi River, in the Lower Garden District and a few short blocks from the world-famous French Quarter.
The venue for MACNA 2017 is also a short distance away from the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas as well as the Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. The House of Blues is also in the vicinity of the New Orleans MACNA, so there will be no shortage of options if you’re looking to do more than chat about reef tanks while visiting the Big Easy for MACNA 2017.
Bayou Reefkeeping has organized some very successful aquarium events in recent past so we have extreme confidence that this group will be able to put on a great 29th Marine Aquarium Conference of North America. New Orleans, aka the Big Easy, is a city known for having a good time and we are really looking forward to how the spirit of N’Awlins will be reflected in MACNA next year. [MACNA]
