Clear Lounge
We recently came across the Clear Lounge® concept and was intrigued by this playful underwater experience. Clear Lounge is the world’s first underwater oxygen bar using Sea TREK® diving helmets. We met with the Sea TREK team in Vancouver who gave us the scoop on this oxygenated idea.
You’ll enter Clear Lounge via a vertical ladder, and place a Sea TREK helmet on your shoulders. The helmet keeps you dry from the shoulders up, and provides a constant flow of cool, refreshing air enriched with scented oxygen.
While underwater guests have the opportunity to play Jenga, shoot bubble guns, or just kick back and relax. You can also write messages to friends watching in from outside or take your picture in the photo booth. There are currently two Clear Lounge locations, one in Cozumel Mexico, and one in Kuwait City with plans to expand the experience to other touristic centers.
Sea TREK
And, if you enjoy your Clear Lounge experience, you can take the next step and try an open ocean Sea TREK tour. In the ocean, divers are given a constant supply of air, rather than oxygen enriched air. Sea TREK also offers underwater experiences in 15 public aquariums worldwide where guests will have the opportunity for underwater exploration surrounded by fish in a confined aquarium setting.
Sea TREK can be a great introduction, for those who have little to no ocean experience. This immersive ocean walk, or aquarium tours are good for anyone curious about scuba diving but nervous about taking a course. And since your head can move freely inside the Sea TREK helmet, you don’t need to worry about restricted breathing through a mask or scuba regulator.
Whether you just want to kick back and enjoy a playful Clear Lounge experience or are ready for an open ocean or aquarium tour, using a Sea TREK helmet could be the way to go.
