Aquarium fish competitions have been a mainstay of the freshwater aquarium hobby for generations. A long culture of fish breeding as the culmination of being a good freshwater aquarist has resulted in many annual aquariums competitions throughout the year, all over the world.
With captive breeding having reached a certain degree of maturity in the marine aquarium world, we think it’s about time that saltwater fish breeders got with this program. In aquarium fish competitions, the aim is not to make the wildest or crazy colors and fins, although there are categories for this.
