The Fusion Peninsula AIO tanks from Innovative Marine are a new line of aquariums which celebrate our rectangular tanks from a different angle. While most All In One Aquariums have their filtration built into the back of the tank.
Innovative Marine’s new Fusion Peninsula tanks place the filtration in the ‘end’ of the tank, giving users an even greater area to view the animals inside. We’ve always loved tanks with a peninsula layout, especially the big tanks where you can walk around the entire aquarium, and even Red Sea is investigating the possibility of making a Max tank with a Peninsula orientation.
Innovative Marine is making the Fusion Peninsula in two sizes, a 14 gallon and a 20 gallon. The Fusion Peninsula 14 and 20 gallon both have a cross section of 12 x 13 inches, with the 14 gallon being 20 inches long with 6mm high clarity glass, while the 20 gallon is 30 inches long with 8mm high clarity glass. Both tanks include basic built-in filtration, with a 200+ gph pump for circulation, and compatible with a wide range of drop-in accessories.
The 14 gallon Fusion Peninsula will retail for $199 while it’s longer brother the 20 gallon Fusion Peninsula will cost fifty bucks more at $249. With somewhere around 99% percent of tanks using a classic, ‘back-against-a-wall’ orientation, it’s incredibly refreshing to see more tank builders making peninsula style tanks. Tanks like the Fusion Peninsula open the door to more creative aquascapes, and to view the reef aquascape from more than just one, head-on perspective.
