Reef Interests All-In-One BioPellets XL are large sized pellets designed to deliver nitrogen and phosphate reduction outside of a reactor. Unlike the big bone XL BioPellet fragments we covered a few years back or the smaller All-In-One BioPellets, this version is not only made to be used in something as simple as a filter sock to provide a solid carbon source to gobble up nitrates, it also is impregnated with GFO to help soak up that phosphate.
According to the company, the AIO BioPellets XL can remove up to five times more nitrogen and 10-20 times more phosphate than other products on the market today, in line with the regular Reef Interest All-In-One Biopellets we covered a few years ago. But the new version is much beefier to be used without a reactor.
The current product is still patent pending, and the goal was to give you a single product to eliminate having to use GFO media for phosphates and and biopellets for nitrate reduction (and the need for two reactors, or in this case a reactor at all).
The new Reef Interest All-in-one BioPellet XL and the regular size All-in-one BioPellet are available in the U.S. through Aquarium Specialty.
