The Doser 2.1 Maxi is an exciting new addition to GHL’s growing list of smart aquarium devices. Like their other products that don’t force you to buy into their ecosystem, the Doser Maxi will work both standalone and in conjunction with their Profilux controller or Master units of the standard four-channel Doser 2.1.
At first glance you can see that it’s sporting two dosing pump heads instead of the usual four, and they are of the larger much higher flow rate variety. This is probably to enable either dosing of elements in high volumes in larger tanks, or to perform automatic water changes in small and medium sized aquariums.
We expect the Doser 2.1 Maxi to have the same wireless control as the Doser 2.1 with quick programming of its operation without the need to buy an additional expensive controller to make it work. Expected release date is November and we should learn more about the Doser 2.1 Maxi, what it’s for and how much it’ll be in the interim.
