Truli Wetsuits
Longtime readers of ReefDivers.io will know that I am obsessed with two things, corals and wetsuits! Putting on a wetsuit makes me feel invincible and I know I’m not alone. When we first caught sights of the Truli wetsuit, we loved the bespoke design and entrepreneurial spirit behind this for women by women wetsuit brand.
Truli wetsuits are designed by Canadian Mia Toose, who wanted to create a boutique wetsuit which could be truly her’s. Naturally, when we came across her brand we had to give Truli some love.
Truli wetsuits promise to be feminine and form-fitting with thoughtful features like front zip to avoid snagging hair in a back zip with velcro, v-neck shape to avoid neck squeeze, environmentally friendly neoprene, and best of all a soft fleecy interior. When we had the chance to meet up with Mia at DEMA 2017 we jumped at the opportunity for a personal introduction to Truli.
When we met Mia we got to see her Truli-Mi shorty suits and colorful Truli-Capri. The neoprene is extra stretchy and you can tell these wetsuits are built to last. But what really caught our attention was the super soft fleecy interior. Wearing a Truli wetsuit feels like snuggling with a teddy bear and you’ll wish wetsuits were accepted as everyday fashion.
Currently, Truli suits only come in shorty and capri styles with a full-length version in the works. Personally, I prefer longer suits and might only wear the shorty style in the most ideal tropical conditions, but even then, you’ll probably find me in a full length so I will hold off to get my Truli until then!
