Another great MACNA has come and gone and we survived three days and three nights in Sin City. This year’s big event featured the usual fare of great new reef gear and with the new Reef Builders Studio in progress, we took the time to window shop for a bevy of devices, gear and displays we’ll be needing in the future.
Sadly though, there was a definite dearth of livestock compared to most major reef shows, no doubt impacted by the recent Indonesia & Fiji coral bans. The flip side of this is that the coral companies that have been focusing on aquaculturing coral frags showed up in force.
As the first official and professionally produced MACNA by MASNA this was a very smooth and enjoyable show. Now that MASNA has got one successful event under their belt we can’t wait to see how next year will go down in Orlando, Florida. We hope you enjoy this different kind of look at what MACNA had to offer this year and stay tuned for articles on some of the most noteworthy new products we saw in Las Vegas last weekend.
