Ever wondered what makes us do what we do as scuba divers?
Psychology for Scuba Divers explores behavior and emotion in diving. With reference to established psychological theory and specific research in scuba diving, topics include: anxiety and the panic reaction, effective skills development, social influences on behaviour and brain processes such as attention and awareness. We also consider what motivates us to dive, to pursue our interests in diving and how being a diver affects us.
“We spend a lot of time and effort getting to know the equipment we use in scuba diving. What about understanding and maintaining that one irreplaceable piece of kit? You!”
