It’s been over three years since Triton promised to bring their revolutionary ICP water testing to the U.S. and finally that project has at long last become realized. It was way back at MACNA in San Diego that Triton first made their announcement but at long last with an American based machine the full potential of sophisticated water analysis through water testing can become realized.
For some aquarists the use of Triton additives together with ICP testing gives them a well defined direction with how to achieve ideal reef aquarium chemistry, and how to keep it that way. For others the notion of ICP testing comes up most often when unconventional problems arise in a reef aquarium, such as contaminants and unwanted elements that are not possible or practical to test at home or at a store.
Since reef aquarium chemistry can change very fast, for both of these scenarios the vastly improved turnaround time of ICP test results from having a Triton testing center in California. As of this week Triton US is offering results on customers’ water samples within 48 hours or receiving them so you can either keep your reef tank on track, or identify any potential problems faster than ever.
Furthermore, since Triton US no longer has to send these samples to Europe they are now including free return shipping on ICP-OES water analysis, a first class return postage label is included in every testing kit. Time really is of the essence when it comes to reef aquarium chemistry so it’s really great to hear that the American reef hobbyist can now enjoy the same speedy ICP test results that made our reef brothers love it so much over in Europe.
