Reef Zlements has added a one-part liquid dosing solution to its growing reef supplement range. Named Z-inOne, the new all-in-one liquid follows close on the heels of Tropic Marin, Polyp Lab, and Fauna Marin with their one-part complete dosing solutions and offers small reef tank owners a convenient way to dose carbonates, calcium, magnesium, trace, and macro elements from just one bottle.
Reef Zlements is one of the few British companies to offer 2-part dosing with their Z-Complete and Z-pHplus ranges, with three-part, Balling Method based dosing still being the most commonly used in the UK and Europe. One part dosing is getting traction with nano reef owners, beginners, and their local fish stores however as it’s often the easiest way to maintain parameters based just on KH testing and the easiest for newbies to get their heads around. You only need one dosing pump too. The downside with one part dosing is its relative expense by volume as demands increase and the lack of control if the tank has low KH but high calcium for example. Z-inOne also contains boron, strontium, potassium, iodine, manganese, and vanadium.
Reef Zlements recommend Z-inOne for reef tanks up to 200 liters/53 gallons, but if needing to dose more than 25ml per 100 liters/26 gallons per day, a step up to their two-part recipes will make for a much more cost-effective solution. Z-inOne comes in 500ml/1 pint and 1000ml/2 pints bottles and is priced in the UK at £13.99/$16.84 and £26.99/$32.50 respectively.
