We are delighted to welcome our latest contributor to Team Reef Builders, Shane Danger Coleman. Shane is an avid aquarist of all things aquarium, terrarium, and plants, but has a strong passion for the natural reef and land-based coral propagation.
He grew up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and has an engineering/fabrication and vehicle modification background, but decided to chase his lifelong hobby and accept a job in the industry. He currently lives in Cairns, Australia (the doorstep to the GBR,) and works at the Sustainable Reefs coral farm where he can do what he loves the most on a daily basis.
Being able to work with the species of coral that are often forgotten about when farming coral or studying reefs is the highlight of his day. Being challenged to find ways to grow corals faster and make them more colorful is also a great driver for him and what he does.
Shane has made appearances at ReefStock in the US and Australia and was recently featured on an episode of Reef Therapy. Welcome to the Reef Builders All-Stars Shane!
