When the opportunity presents itself, Evie and Remy are all over it, as not only did Evie record the first ever All-female episode of Reef Therapy while organizing Aquashella, but she also got to jump in on a session with Remy, featuring Julian Sprung, and Kevin Burda from Top Shelf Aquatics.
The original subject for the session was the State of the Reefing Hobby, and with Evie traveling through 48 States, she has her eye on all the trends, fashions, and concerns that today’s hobbyists have. But with Julian Sprung freshly back from an Indonesian dive trip to honor Jake Adams, he had so many stories to tell about finding common aquarium corals like Catalaphyllia in the wild, a scrolling Goniopora, as well as finding some sought-after fleshy LPS coral species in much cooler currents than expected.
It was great too to see Julian and Kevin talk about some legacy corals that both have owned and propagated, as well as Kevin’s latest experience of fragging Scolymia and if Julian’s amino acid blend can actually help treat damaged corals.
Please watch, listen, hit like, and Subscribe to another great episode of Reef Therapy filmed on location at Aquashella Daytona.
