Neptune Systems has launched a new version of its popular DOS dosing pump called DOS QD. With the same two-head form factor and aesthetic design as the previous model, the new DOS QD comes in a darker, more modern grey color but importantly, it’s quieter too. Up to four times quieter than the old DOS and that comes as a response to Neptune user requests for a quieter model, as well as shared expertise from EcoTech with their Quiet Drive technology. The result is an all-new DOS but with the same MSRP of USD$349 as the old one. And it’s designed and manufactured in the USA.
New features
New to DOS QD are the QuietZone modes, allowing for whisper-quiet dosing and slow continuous RPM dosing. Aperture says this results in noise reductions of 150-430% depending on operational level. DOS QD also has continuous operation modes for smoother and more efficient ongoing operation, for water changes and other continuous pump operations.
Connect DOS QD to an A2 or A3 Series Apex and it will carry out your choice of functions from liquid dosing to topping off, carrying out automatic water changes, or powering calcium reactors, kalk stirrers, and of course working alongside Trident. And for those long periods of operation, this all-new peristaltic pump will be far quieter.
DOS QD will launch in April 2024. Expect to see discounts on original DOS models at retailers where DOS is sold.
