Two Little Fishies unveiled their new aquascaping product CoralScape Powder & Bonder at ReefStock Denver this year. CoralScape Powder retails for $20.79 for a 4 kg pouch. CoralScape Bonder retails for $63.26 for a 1 lb bottle.
These products are designed to be used for creating seamless connections between pieces of rock when scaping. The powder is an extremely fine oolite sand almost akin to sugar sand. The bonder is a nearly liquid cyanoacrylate which sets nearly instantly. Mr. Sprung recommended the product to be utilized wish PPE or at the very least a mask of some sort when opening the glue and to seal it quickly after opening.
These products are welcome additions to the industry as they help bring aesthetics back into focus. Most rock binder products rely on paste or typical glue with accelerators which can create obvious joints and seams both of which can shift viewer focus from the systems inhabits to glaring protrusions from an otherwise natural looking aquascape.
