Armitage angelfish and baby wrought iron butterflyfish may not be as rare as the luscious neon hogfish, but they still shared the rare fish spotlight at last weekend’s SPLASH event at House of Fins, in Greenwich CT. They may not have been as rare as an Africanum basslet, Bell’s flasher wrasse or some others that were on hand, but second to that deepwater Bodianus they definitely kept our eyes focused. Here’s another quick video to give you a fell for the density of rare fish that HOF was packing last weekend. Man was it a treat to film and photograph all those beautiful rare reef fish, and there’s still many more subjects to follow.

The story that Armitage angels are a hybrid is cool, but gimme one of the parents anyday, they just don’t do it for me.

So where’s the vid of the L. africanum?!?!?!?!?!
