MACNA 2015 will be held in Washington D.C. and being hosted and produced by the Washington Area Marine Aquarium Society. MACNA 2015 in D.C. will actually mark the tenth anniversary of the first time that WAMAS hosted this event back in 2005.
While many members may have turned over for WAMAS in the last ten years, and MACNA is a totally different animal than it was in 2005, MACNA in Washington next year will actually be only the fourth time that a club has hosted MACNA a second time. We were actually in D.C. for the 2005 MACNA as a young reef frag ourselves and we remember a smooth, entertaining and very enjoyable event.
WAMAS will be hosting MACNA 2015 at a much larger venue than they did ten years ago, next year being at the Mariott Wardman Park Hotel with rooms running at $125 a night, and being relatively close to many sights and attractions that the nation’s capitol has to offer. As with previous years, early registration for MACNA 2015 has already opened up on the Macna Conference 2015 website where more updates about next year’s Marine Aquarium Conference of North America are sure to be posted.
