The orange face angelish, Chaetodontoplus cephalareticulatus, is a highly elusive ‘species’ of Chaetodontoplus. This elusive fish is only available from Taiwanese reefs and the fish is believed to be a hybrid species perhaps between C. septentrionalis and C. melanosoma. There is a lot of variability in the appearance of this species yet this specimens sports some beautiful yet subtle blue markings on the face which need proper lighting to display. The specimen living in Rhinelander’s LiveAquaria is abotu 7 inches long and it takes well to it’s home in the fish display tank along with many other fine specimens of rare and exotic fish.
