The Blue Moon Aquatics LED pendant lights we gave you a glimpse of earlier this year are going to start shipping in October. The first generation of these lights will come with an adjustable tank-mounted bracket but could also be suspended via cables. Utilizing a 30W multi-chip LED and a 60° lens, the pendants will be available in three flavors – 15,000K all white, 450-460nm blue and a sweet combination pendant with the white chip and six 3 watt blue LEDs surrounding the while LED. The combination fixture (48 total watts) will run around $450 with the white or blue running around $400. More details and image after the break.
The pendants should be available at Marine Depot with some cost-saving rebates on the Blue Moon Aquatics website. The company is also planning on offering accessories in the near future including different optics to give you some flexibility in the light distribution. They are also working on the track light system we saw earlier and should have that available some time next year.
