The RGB Panorama LED module that will populate the next generation Panorama fixtures from Ecoxotic is so freaking sweet; it will be much thinner and the RGB LED version will be controllable via an included remote. RGB LEDs are a triple threat of red, green and blue LEDs packaged closely together which combine together to produce white light with very high color rendition.
A couple years ago RGB LEDs were either too weak, too pricey, or both too weak and too expensive to include into a reef aquarium light with enough punch to grow most corals. Granted a few RGB LED Panorama modules aren’t going to grow your SPS corals at breakneck speed, but RGBs will show off many more colors than the icebox-inspired blue-out that many reefers are sporting these days.
The new Stunner LED strips will land in new colors and sizes in April but it is still undetermined when Ecoxotic is expecting to roll out the new Panorama modules, fixtures including the colorific RGB flavor. A few shots of the RGB Panorama LED colors after the break.
