Once in a while a coral appears which is so sensational in color and pattern that it deserves a unique name and a dedicated post. The Tokyo Tart is a very unique strain of Acanthastrea lordhowensis that was obtained by Cherry Corals earlier this summer and it is believed to originate from Vietnam or Japan. The Tokyo Tart Acan Lord has a radically different coloration from all the red and rainbow Aussie acan lords that we’ve been blasted with over the last five years. Thankfully the Tokyo Tart was propagated into several different pieces and distributed throughout the country so its amazing color pattern will be carried on by generations of Tokyo Tart frags in the future.
