Oceanlife is another incredible aquarium manufacturer from Italy is making its way to North America bringing along the incredible equipment and products we’ve come to expect and love from Italy. Besides a wide array of interesting products we’ll touch on later, its new Acquari Marini aquariums and matching furniture that grabbed our immediate attention. You might remember Oceanlife from the awesome automated display systems we saw at Interzoo and they are definitely worth taking a look at for your next aquarium system.
On display was their 42 gallon cube system comprised of a 22 x 22 x 20 in. rimless aquarium and a sleek stand that just blended in right with the beautiful cube. On closer inspection, we forgot about the sleek aquarium (rimless and Starfire glass with clean lines) and were drawn to the features of the aquarium furniture. Constructed from durable aluminum frames with colored and textured tempered glass panels, the stand will stand out in any room for all the right reasons.
The sturdy aluminum frame is held together with stainless screws and hex bolts leaving as much real estate underneath the tank as possible. The doors and side panels are available right now in either black or white glass but the company has the ability to produce panels in any color. On top of that, the panels are easily removed with a few hex bolts so you can remove them for cleaning or maintenance under the tank or if you happen to break a panel or just want to change the color.
The systems range from 42 gallon to 179 gallon systems that feature the aquarium, stand, sump and skimmer. They are available in Italy and Europe and hopefully soon here in North America. The systems will retail for around €1,200 (approx. $1,500 USD). If the standard sizes aren’t up your alley, the company can produce any size and shape you would like.
