The SPLASH celebration is an annual sale, aquarium event and mini conference put on every year by House of Fins, one of the biggest rare reef fish dealers in the country, especially at the brick-n-mortar retail level. House of Fins stocks pretty awesome crazy fish and corals all year round but this year we’ve seen first hand how House of Fins has pillaged the wholesalers and other marinelife dealers for some off-the-hook livestock. Remember that insane collection of corals in the World Wide booth at MACNA that we were raving about? Yeah House of Fins took home boxes of their corals. Oh and the hottest newly available fish, the Dr. Seuss arrowhead soapfish that’s been making the rounds this summer will be represented by one awesome specimen live and in person at House of Fins this weekend.
Previous Hall of Fame livestock that has made an appearance at House of Fins include personatus angelfish, armitage angelfish and wrought iron butterflyfish, Neptune groupers and conspicuous angelfish, neon hogfish, so in otherwords, House of Fins is like the opposite of the one hit wonder of scoring rare reef fish. Once you’ve had your fill of window and actual shopping, there’ll be plenty of time to sit down to hear several seasoned national marine aquarium speakers including John Coppolino, Bob Fenner, Scott Fellman, Justin Credabel and yours truly, Jake Adams. Having become a regular participant to the anniversary SPLASH sale we can vouch for the quality of the goods, the discounts and the speaker presentations – so you better be there. A full rundown of the sale prices is listed on the flyer below, and the fun will be this Saturday and Sunday at 99 Bruce Park Avenue Greenwich, Connecticut 06830.
