You know we feature a lot of different reef tank videos and usually they display only a single slammin reef tank. This is a different matter altogether as Mr. Jawsee has seen fit to take his video camera along for what appears to be the mother of all reef aquarium tours, starting at the Triton Reef Shop and making its way through the homes of what we’d call ‘illustrious’ reef tanks, any of which would be their own destination and post worthy.
Remember how we raved about the seemingly simple Triton Lani LED at the end of last year? Well the proof is in the pudding baby and it looks like owner Ehsan Dashti has plenty of the finest reef flan to dish out. Exquisite corals, expertly placed in meticulously maintained aquascapes that make the Triton Lani LED really shine. Pun intended.
While at the Triton Reef Shop it’s not obvious that the tanks are being lit with LEDs since there is an absence of the ‘disco ball effect’ and for all intents those tanks look like they are lit with a balanced combination of T5 and metal halide lighting. And the growth and massiveness of the giant clams and coral colonies is quite something else. Ehsan will tell you that the Triton Lani LED is not solely to credit and that the ‘Triton Method’ husbandry goes a long way to making his corals look so banging. It’s hard to argue with a reefer who uses a High Precision Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) machine to test his water.
There’s lot of other really killer tanks in this video but we don’t know who they are exactly, other than that they have some serious reefing skills and one particular reefer likes to jam out on the keyboard while being surrounded in a sea of reef tanks. Perhaps Mr. Jawsee can chime in and tell us what this reef aquarium tour was all about, we think he will.
