We got our first look at the Smart Level at InterZoo about a year and a half ago. Within that time Hydor has greatly refined the design of the Smart Level ATO controller and it is now ready for prime time. The first public display of the Smart Level will be at the Hydor Booth at MACNA this weekend, where attendees will be able to see the beautiful simplicity of this crucial device.
ATO systems and controller are totally hot right now and in addition to Hydor’s Smart Level, Innovative Marine’s Hydrofill and AutoAqua’s Smart ATO will also be vying for attention this weekend. With the complete Hydrofill system coming in at $300 and the Smart ATO going for $149, the Smart Level has a lot of breathing room in the marketplace with its mass-market price of $99 suggested retail price.
At this rate aquariums of the future will come with ATOs built in, not really, but reefers across the world will soon have no excuse for not having some form of automated top off device. Be sure to check out our coverage of the Hydor Smart Level from Germany so that you have a better feel for what this ATO device is all about at MACNA this weekend.
