Fish Frenzy is a new fish food from AquaTech Co., the makers of AZOX Macro Coral Diet. While “whole foods” like copepods, zooplankton and phytoplankton have been available as refrigerated foods for a long time, the new Fish Frenzy is one of the first refrigerated fish mixes that comes to mind.
Fish Frenzy is made from Fish and Invertebrate eggs and soaked in a vitamin solution for absorption, not unlike the method used in the also-refrigerated Dr. G’s Caviar, but Fish Frenzy is not medicated. The sample bottles of Fish Frenzy that AquaTech Co. showed off at the Aquatic Experience Chicago were empty but we were told this food is neutrally buoyant and would flow easily with aquarium currents where fish can chase them down.
It’s a novel coincidence that in the same weekend we saw two new foods based on fish eggs infused with vitamin, medication and other probiotics but hopefully this is a trend that is successful and continues to progress.
Update: it has come to our attention that another aquarium fish food company already has the trademark for “Fish Frenzy” so Aqua Tech Co. will announce this refrigerated food with a different name when it is released.
