Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion series goes longer and deeper

The Innovative Marine NUVO series is getting new members with the launch of the Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion series featuring two all-in-one aquariums — one aimed at long aquascapes, the other at deep aquascapes. Coming off the success of both the Innovative Marine NUVO 24 gallon series, NUVO Mini 38 and the most recent Innovative Marine NUVO SR series, the company ‘fused’ the best of both worlds in the NUVO Fusion line.

For those reefers looking for a long and shallow system without the large footprint and expense of the large NUVO SR series, the Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 30L is for you. The NUVO Fusion 30L is an impressive 30 gallon long tank with a 36 in. front (36 x 15 x 13 in.) giving you the opportunity to develop panoramic aquascapes. There is something just appealing about a low-profile shallow tank that gives you a unique opportunity to aquascape for nice full frontal views as well as the ability to enjoy your mini reef with top-down viewing.

If you’ve been watching the evolution of Innovative Marine’s aquariums over the last year or so, you’ll see parts of what they consider one of its flagship systems, the MidSize Mini 38, in the Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 40 . You can see the basic dimensions as the starting point for the Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 40 giving you a deeper system in a 24-in.-wide footprint (24 x 20 x 19 in.). The NUVO Fusion 40 is based off the Mini 38 with additional tweaks, including more volume and straight glass instead of a curved front, netting a bit more aquascaping real estate for your aesthetic.

Both systems are pretty snazzy and appealing to look at even before you add a drop of water, fish or coral. The NUVO Fusion tanks use 8mm low iron glass for a clear, undistorted view. The frameless aquariums feature diamond polished edges, black silicone and even mesh tops to keep your fish where they belong.

The NUVO Fusion series features the customizable filtration we’ve seen in the other lines that are the staple to the AIO setups with acrylic filtration divider wall, double three-stage filtration baskets, two return nozzles, return pump and designated columns for a heater and protein skimmer.

These tanks will look solid on any furniture or case you may have but if you are looking to make it even more appealing, Innovative Marine also has optional HDF stands with magnetic cabinet latches, storage shelves and pre-cut cable ports.

If you are looking to get your hands on either one of these, there is a small batch available at select vendors starting Friday before a full-fledged launch in the coming weeks. The Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 30L and the Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion 40 each retail for $500. The optional stands are $300.
