The NanoFlow propeller pump from Cobalt Aquatics is a new water mover to be unveiled this week at Global Pet Expo in Orlando. The NanoFLow takes many design cues from the very capable NeoFlow propeller pump but due to size and cost constraints, the NanoFlow is a non-controllable AC water pump. The shark gill-inspired intake design if the NeoFlow is evident in the intake of the NanoFlow which is more than enough to allow the NanoFlow’s 2,600 liter per hour, 686gph rating.
A single ball joint base mount replaces the dual ball joint found in the NeoFlow, but should still be plenty of articulating freedom for pointing the NanoFlow in a Nano reef aquarium. The Magnetic mount can secure the NanoFlow on tanks with glass up to 3/4 inch, or right up to 2cm thick. Pricing and availability of the NanoFlow has not yet been revealed but Cobalt Aquatics has a pretty good track record of not letting us waiting too long for the new gear they announce.
