The sleek and compact Tunze Turbelle nanostream 6020 and 6040 we saw at Interzoo are getting close to being available here in the U.S. with a targeted release date in late July. Besides taking considerations to re-position the pump to create more natural flow and present a less obtrusive presence in the aquarium, the new Tunze nanostreams provided both an advanced version with the 6040 along with an economical version with the 6020. We already expected the Tunze nanostream 6020 to be priced around $50 and we just learned the MSRP is $42.92. Although it is pretty basic and straightforward, the nanostream 6020 (stream economical) gives you solid performance you expect from Tunze at a very approachable price.
If you need more from your pump, then take a look at the Tunze nanostream 6040 (stream intelligent) that gives you a controllable 12VDC pump that delivers around 53 to 1,190 GPH of performance all while sipping a mere 1.5-13W. The Tunze nanostream 6040 has an MSRP of $140.30. Although this is designed for use with a Tunze controller like the new Tunze Multicontroller 7097, since the pump is DC, you should be able to use other controllers.
